For some of the folks hunting for a job these days the idea of getting a twitter account is something that makes them just want to puke. My advice....get over it! There are some very powerful tactics you can use on twitter to help you with your job search.
Twitter search can be a major resource in your job search and it is really easy. Just follow these easy steps:
Step 1: Establish a twitter account if you don't have one.
Step 2: Go to http://search.twitter.com and search for your keywords.
Step 3: Follow the accounts that regularly post jobs in your area.
Step 4: Apply for jobs that make sense for you.
Step 4: Engage and share.
- When you find a good job opportunity that you can apply for make sure to thank the user that posted the job.
- Retweet job offers that don't match your search to share with others in your network.
